This is it! I’ve done it!

This is my soap box...my lavender soap box. That small wooden crate that engulfs the perfect smelling soap that makes me sneeze if I were to ever use it. Not the box of soap that sits on the counter in your Grandmother's powder room collecting dust. It's the box that you don't want to throw away because it looks like a man just handed it to you off the sidewalk in Paris, so you keep it for treasures...or junk...whichever way you look at it.

But its also the soapbox that allows me to voice my opinion to the world...even if no one is listening. I write ads all day long that bombard the masses with more words...but this is my place to put what I want to talk about...not what a bank or a funeral home or a car dealership wants to talk about...but what I want to talk about.

I have this feeling that after this post, I will now become obsessed – but I think that’s a good thing. I’m the kind of person that has so many thoughts run through my head during a day that by the end of the day I simply forget the small things that happened. Instead, I start thinking about what will happen the next day and I totally lose the great moments that simply passed. For New Year’s I told myself that I would slow down this year and try to indulge in the small delights of life. And this is one of the steps. I know I am a little late in starting this, but hey, what better time than March to start on a resolution for the new year?!
