Ben and Katie in Haiti

A friend of mine who was a Pi Phi at Baylor with me just moved to Haiti with her husband two weeks ago to be teachers at a Christian school in Port-au-Prince. We are all so thankful that they are safe and unharmed from the earthquake, but their life has changed drastically in the past two days. Rather than teaching english classes, they are now helping move children from a damaged orphanage to their school, setting up a trauma center on the soccer field and loving children who have no idea if their parents are living or not.

If you are looking for a way to help in Haiti, here's a link to give money to the school: http://quisqueya.org/

The school is one of the few buildings around that is still standing and safe to be in. People are sleeping on the soccer field and the playgrounds because they have no where else to go.

You can read Ben and Katie's story on their blog (benandkatieinhaiti.com) and there are links on there to read the stories of other missionaries in Haiti right now.
